thinking

February 9, 2009

It was a shaky weekend as far as knitting plans went. I finished a long awaited sweater on Friday and had high hopes for my next few projects, but they all seem to be the type that require lots of starting and restarting and thinking and rethinking. Last week’s Burnt Ember handspun has been plied, but I still don’t have the right project for it.

I wanted to expand my horizons and so I’ve been wrestling with a new sock book that goes against everything I believe about sock knitting. So far it’s been pretty frustrating. I don’t care what a chart says, no stockinette sock I knit should ever have 70+ stitches around.
