scarf

I finished my Burnt Ember Scarf last week. I spun it from A Verb For Keeping Warm‘s December Club Fiber, which was BFL. Verb uses all natural dyes and makes some beautiful roving.

I started this scarf (the One Row Handspun Scarf) on a whim, just to see how long it would be. Honestly, I thought I’d get bored long before I’d finished (it tends to happens with scarves). Honestly, I thought I’d get bored long before I’d finished (it tends to happens with scarves). It turns out it was the perfect project for the end of the week when I found myself faced with several social knitting situations and a lack of projects to work on.

I made it extra wide, since that’s how I like my scarves. I also and found this great pin among my aunt’s huge collection of thrifted jewellery while I was in the US that seems to go perfectly.

I thought I had given up on scarves after making all those cowls but this one served me well on my 7k walk on Saturday. It was a beautiful day, perfect for a pretty new scarf.
